SŁAWOMIR RĘBISZ, PhD. Senior Lecturer He is from graduated two faculties (full-time, M.A. Programme): in Political and Social Sciences (1994) as well as in Sociology (1997). He also was awarded a Senior Manager of Continuing Education Certificate at Kennesaw State University, University System of Georgia, USA (2000). He defended his Ph.D. dissertation at the Department of Management and Social Communication of the Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland (2005). He also is an alumnus of prestigious of SALZBURG SEMINAR – Session 436 in Austria (2006). From 1995 to 2011, he was working at the Institute of Sociology, the University of Rzeszów Poland, Section of Applied Sociology and Communication, where from academic year 2007/2008 to 2008/2009, he also was a Coordinator for International Programmes. At present, he works at the Faculty of Education, Department of Media Education, at the University of Rzeszow (UR), Poland. He is a member of the Polish Economic Society (PTE), the Rzeszów Branch of Scientific Society of Organization and Management (TNOiK) as well as the Association of the Carpathian Euroregion – Poland. He is an Ambassador of the Foundation „Doctor Clown”. When he has a leisure time he usually scuba-dives and yachts. He loves traveling to the countries from Central-Eastern Europe and gardening. He is also a fan of a good book and rock groups – U2 and Dire Straits.

Specialization:

Transborder and euroregional co-operation within the Central and Eastern Europe, range and directions of changes in higher education in Central-Eastern Europe after 1989, management of higher education institutions, scientific careers and feeling of loneliness.

Additional information:

In academic year 2015/2016 he was nominated as an external expert  (reviewer) of the Nationwide Programme of Accreditation of Fields of Study – „Studies with the Future”. The Project is going ahead by the Foundation of Development of Education and Higher Education as well as the Agency PRC. The main goal of the Programme  „Studies with the Future” is promotion of the fields of study which characterize high quality of programme courses as well as effectiveness in education for labour market (the degree studies are worthy of recommendations for secondary-school graduates!)  Awarded fields of study will receive the Certificate: The Sign of Quality – „Studies with the Future”.
